The Auction Hauses cleanup, don't they make 20% off the buyer and 20% off the seller.? I may be getting my Auction Houses mixed up, but I believe they do post-sales as well. I also think the longer it sets the lower the percentage they charge.

If I had the choice, I would also prefer it in its original condition, but someone made that choice for all future possible owners not much we can do about it. I would love to have a Bavarian Generals Helm in any condition if I'm honest and could make do with this one :D(y)

Have a close look at the rim of the helmet you will immediately notice how even the edge is which is a clear sign of it being cut into this shape not stamped. My opinion is the same as Peters made from M16, hand cut down by someone with a shaky hand o_O
