Hello chaps,
here is an interesting photograph I happened across on ebay.de. It was captioned along the lines, "nobles, generals etc." In fact, it is a great shot of the Police President of Berlin, Traugott von Jagow in conversation with the commander of the Berliner Schutzmannschaft, Oberst Paul Hoefft around 1914. The 1st adjutant of the force, Hauptmann Albert Stenger is the officer to Colonel Hoefft's left. What I think is particularly unusual is a police/zoll helmet with a square front peak as worn by Herr von Jagow.
Regards
Glenn
