it looks to me like a guard dragoon with a fake star and someone got suckered. Badly

I am interested in buying an Oldenberg infantry mans pickelhaube.
However the underside is stamped I.R.53. 1910. This does not seem to be correct for an Oldenberg haube. Can you advise?
