That is a fantasy helmet, sorry.

I think the front wappen is trying to copy a Imperial Kurassier helmet.

Historically or as a actual Imperial German collectible helmet I think it would want to look like this....

Sorry but I don't like it. It looks like someone messed around with this helmet a lot. Looks like a lot of suspicious extra holes in the leather shell. The nuts holding the cruciform spike base seem oddly big and a bit deformed.

The book looks nice, good layout and quality pictures. Why "Feldzug?" Looks to me to cover more than helmet covers. Its interesting to see that they aren't using only "super" condition helmets.

The small eagle wappen attached to the large eagle usually indicates that the helmet is a Beamten helmet. The thing that confuses me is that usually the small eagle would be in silver or vice versa. I would give you more info but i have all my books packed up getting ready to move.

Helmet condition is totally a collectors preference, I prefer mine in better condition but everyone collects differently. Just get a couple more pics. If the seller has nothing to hide then he should give you the requested pics that you want.

The "red flag" would be that you only have those two pictures. I would need 5 or 6 more pictures before I thought about buying it. Try and get some more pictures.

I think this is a FireFighters Tellermütze upgraded with a officers kokarde. The cap seems to be original but looks like someone played around with the kokarden.

It's a private purchase helmet, they normally don't have regt. stamps... Also the private purchase helmets were made by different makers; it would be remarkable if the plates of different makers and with different helmet sizes would be interchangable... Line infantry eagles fit line infantry helmet holes, right? It would be like a big "Loto-Gewinn" if it would be like this. This helmet seems to be original, but it appears to be cleaned up. The metal parts are to brightand the leather of the outside looks to well preserved, compared with the leather of the inside... kokarden seem indeed replacements... Adler but why? couldn't you have had this helmet missing the state ...

What can you tell me about this particular garde haube? listed on EBay. I will tell you that this helmet is a highly desirable item amongst collectors and will get up into the $3,000 range. A normal Prussian EM helmet has the "Mit Gott fur Konig und Vaterland" bandeau, this one has "Mit Gott fur Fuerst und Vaterland" bandeau, which is correct for this helmet... Totally agree with you. I guess I should have been more clear. There really isn't anything wrong with this helmet on the surf...

I would skip these types of helmets unless it has the proper regt stamps. They are too easy to upgrade from a regular line infantry helmet.
