Dear All

Nice topic those Adrian helmets.

I have a few. This one is one of the 300,000 first helmets made by Japy, a Parisian firm. Probably never issued.

Best

Unkown regimental marking, any idea ???

Hello everyone, I found a regular Prussian M15 helmet with unusual marking. I hope that you might help me out for I haven't got a clue... The marking is ( in mine opinion ) L.E.G.II The helmet also has a very need markers mark and is dated 1916.. P1570437.JPG P1570436.JPG P1570435.JPG P1570434.JPG P...

Re: Saxe Weimar FAdj Helmet J Turinetti

[/quote] Interesting, and perhaps not so confusing. Apparently, the Garde eagle with the Fuerst motto was only used on Sachsen-Weimar Fluegeladjutant silver helmets. It is said that General(s) wore the regular Prussian Garde eagle in gold color, with the Saxony arms. However, the number of generals ...

Re: Saxe Weimar FAdj Helmet J Turinetti

In the book "Deutsche Offiziershelme, band 1 by J.Hisenbeck" I found the following photos of a general helmet of Grand Duke Wilhelm Ernst himself. Of course with gold colored fittings, but the eagle has the Bandeau with "Koenig" .... and not "Fuerst" ... According to the text once auctioned at Kube,...

Bruno and Arran area absolutely correct! I was so enamored with the star on this helmet that I overlooked all of the other very important points. I let my heart over-run my mind. A rookie mistake. I should have stopped and read my own book. Oh well, I have learned an important lesson, and thanks ag...

There are so many variants and used by so many countries that you can dedicate a collection to the Adrian.
Highly undervalued and that while half the world used them.
I hope to see more beautiful things in this topic!

I think your fangschnurr is from the right era but its Dutch.
It´s from a M1865 Shako, worn by Grenadiers.
I see them often be sold as German Husar one´s (out of ignorance or gain ) but they are more coarse than the german ones.

That bavarian aluminium officer has a fake liner. With the dealer who is from Europe and a fake liner, I have my doubts over the authenticity of the whole helmet. Not difficult to produce one which may cost him few hundred dollars, but an original case and put it up at $3000+. There's also a regime...
