Thanks to Tony's sharp eyes, it is indeed a OR wappen on the Reserve Shako, with screw back posts.

So possibly a Private Purchase OR Reserve Shako...

Thanks all for the comments, and especially Phillippe for all the information, it is appreciated. After looking at it closely, I think you are correct on the spike base, as split pins look to have been redone. I have no doubt the wappen is real, however, I cannot confirm that it went with this helme...

Just picked up this small M15 Field Grey collection, mainly got it for the M15 Bavarian, which is nicely named, rest will probably go for sale soon. Nice Bavarian Chevaulegers M15, has wrong spiked IMO, should be fluted. But some say this spike is ok too? either way it has been there a long time. So...
