My favorite piece of my late Brothers collection

Still going through my late brothers stuff, adding some helmets to my collection where needed. This was always one of the pieces I loved the most that he had. Nice Ersatz Shako with chemically darkened wappen and original Uberzug with "3" on it. Interesting brown chinstrap as well. thanks James http...

Sea Battalions

There where a few pieces I collected together with my late Brother, one piece was a Officer Sea Battalion Shako he had, shown together with a NCO Sea Battalion Shako I picked up later. Rounding out the group is a 1872 Navy Applicants dagger, Imperial Navy officer sword(Ivory Grip) and officer belt b...

Just checked thru my lor of bavarian and found one similar but without marking. James and Bruno, do you guys see the wing nuts securing the wappen? Re: Bavarian M97 3rd Infantry OR helmet

Nice condition! M97 with 1895 stamps? Has the helmet been converted? Must admit I don't really like the look of the stamps, but I'm only used to Prussian stamps so Bavaria will most likely be different; the rest of the helmet looks great! Sorry about that a typing error I fixed, it is a M87 so the 1...

Bavarian M87 3rd Infantry OR helmet

This is now one of my favorite helmets, just picked up from a good friend. Bavarian M87-92 OR helmet with flat scales on M92 side posts. Has two original markings that are fantastic, and in the back of the helmet in large letters/numbers. Marked 3 J.R. 1895 and 5C. 1895. 2B James https://photos.smug...

Michiel- nice looking piece, I have attached a picture of what the correct Prussian Generals Spitz should look like, fluted, but the key is how it sits on top of the base and does not overlap it.
