That is great . No one except Walt's son really knows what all Walt had .
I know that he collected medals and orders . I think the only one that saw those was S. Wolfe .
I know that he had a Luftwaffe yellow Standarte , I saw that on 1 of 2 visits to his place .
Also uniforms .

Tony ; If you got the I R 92 officer from S. Wolfe ; or it was passed my Wolfe to someone else , then to ; maybe so .
But all of Hartmann's helmets were or are being sold my S. Wolfe , a few at a time at the S O S .I know the collector
who gets first choice on all of them .

Yes , I was related that Garde Reiter helmet also .

Back in the early collecting years I bought an original oil painting on canvas , framed
of Kaiser Wilhelm II in his G d C uniform with helmet , signed and dated in the 1890's

I should have added that the Prussian Grenadier Regiments 1 thru 12
are also my favorites . For me G R 4 enlisted helmet is the hardest to find .
More difficult than the officers helmet for G R 4 .

If you collect enlisted man helmets , the L G R 8 e m helmets have special side lugs .different by Batl
one is a star on the end of the lug , the other is a fugal horn .These are also hard to find . Steve McFarland

Another good find . I hope that you can find the parts . I would try for a complete I R 95 plate .Leave the original plate on the helmet .Hope the small Sax Duchie wappen fits your plate .Maybe cut the eagles head form a line plate and attach it to your I R 95 plate . I also noted in some reference that I saw the same Garde lace in silver
on straps or epaulettes and the titles were ;

An advanced Uhlan collector pointed out that 1 Garde Uhlan epaulettes would be red underlay .
These have white underlay . So I am back to square 1 . Maybe a junior officer for 5 Garde Regt. zu Fuss ?

Normal enlisted men's epaulettes for the Uhlans has the metal scales along the border of the tong . Officers have the Prussian tape . I have the book . It is great . As for Haus Doorn My wife and I were there in 2006 . Very little of the Kaiser's military items were on display .
