I went there one time . A collecting trip ,also went to Manion's .At the House of Swords
I expected a store .He operated from his house basement .No display .
Swords were in old wooden barrels .Other stuff stacked on top of a pool table
which was covered with a sheet of plywood

Another way was that a seller ( P V R in New Jersey ) would put several helmets in one photo ( shot with a Polaroid camera ) and send it by mail with a hand written price list .If you saw something to buy , make a quick phone call to make sure that you the first in line . I bought several that way ....

I always thought that these were worn by 1 Garde Regt. zu Fuss with the Hohenzollern Shield .
A collector friend said that he thinks the helmets were worn by all of the 1st Garde Division .
Does anyone have reference on this ?

If the kokard is repainted , that is no problem . The I R 21 markings are what count .It is nice to have
a well marked issued helmet to a regiment .Nice helmet .

That is great . No one except Walt's son really knows what all Walt had .
I know that he collected medals and orders . I think the only one that saw those was S. Wolfe .
I know that he had a Luftwaffe yellow Standarte , I saw that on 1 of 2 visits to his place .

Tony ; If you got the I R 92 officer from S. Wolfe ; or it was passed my Wolfe to someone else , then to ; maybe so .
But all of Hartmann's helmets were or are being sold my S. Wolfe , a few at a time at the S O S .I know the collector
who gets first choice on all of them .

I should have added that the Prussian Grenadier Regiments 1 thru 12
are also my favorites . For me G R 4 enlisted helmet is the hardest to find .
More difficult than the officers helmet for G R 4 .
