Superb Naval Infantry Shako. I would love to own one just like this one some day. This thread may not go far, but I thought it might be interesting to explore helmets specific to the German Reich. By this, I mean headdress worn by those military and civilian contingents created after the unification...

It looks like a 1910 with a camo band sewn to the central band leaving the top red piping exposed. The camo band looks extremely close or exactly like the cap material. That makes me wonder if it was ordered as a seen in the photo. Its a nice SAXON NCO cap but hard to say without having in hand.

Hi Dave,

It's been a long time.

Do you have a larger scan of this document or other references? I can't find anything.

I like the Landwehr officer tunic look. One thing I don't know is, what did the enlisted men of the landwehr wear?

I've become interested in landwehr tunics... :)

I couldn't find Landwehr Cavalry. I've been searching about and it appears the Landwehr Cavalry wore the same cap as the infantry. Is this correct?

I added what medals that I have that have Austrian fold ribbons. The tunic has loops for 7 but I only have 6. Also, I have no idea what goes on the right breast.
