Re: Recent Find

In Randy T's book he has a printed flyer that was given out showing spikes and an garde uhlan without the star.
They had hundreds of them.
You see more m-15 without the star than with.
I was lucky to win one off of ebay about 25 years ago and have NEVER seen one since.

Yes at one time George was the only game in and spikes on ebay was at it's infancy. Back then parts were not available and either you made your own or did with out. Now if you need a part just wait and check ebay every day and that part may just show up. Except for an original uhlan metal m-15 top. ...

Looks to be a replacement visor.
The small leather bucket was always cut off by post war collectors .
They had a tendancy to get in the way and the quick fix was to cut them off.

Hey Guys ,

I got a brass Wurt EM about 25 years ago .
It has stampings that may be a Prussian helmet not Wurttemburg.

AND

BAXV 1913

It is in pristine condition and has original cocardes and c/s.

Pruss or Wurtt ?

I have 2 spikes in the parts box were the silver has worn through showing the brass underneath .

I have also sold a Wurt Off were the wappen's brass was starting to show through.

Apparently nickel plating of brass for helmet hardware was done quite often.
