Thanks Amy! I only have 13Pickelhaubes but like them all. My bike, the one you saw in the pics got sold last year.
That is my other hobby, restoring and preserving old motorbikes.

I have the same thoughts about it as Jonas has. Not that I ever saw something like it, but I think it once had a notebook in it. Ron, the strap is marked Diethelm & Co. A.G. Oberriet.
Oberriet is a place in Switzerland, very close to the border with Bayern.

The guy I bought several helmets from these past months has a Baden artillery officer, with a Pink liner.
It was the first one I saw with a pink liner, but green I did see several times. But the beige ones I saw the most..

Domi probably means de-activated, meaning they will never fire again.
Unfortunately for him I had a Gewehr98 and 88, which were de-activated, but exchanged them for 2 haubes last sunday...

But they can be found, there are 2 for sale here in the Dutch site Marktplaats.nl .

Hi Jonas,

You are correct, I bought the helmet with serrated kokarden on it, which are not correct.
But I had a pair of modern repro saxon ones lying about here, so I fitted those.
I will be looking for a set of original ones, but they are not easy to find.

I use wine-glasses, they are cheap, and you can buy them in different sizes. Thanks for fixing it! I also had the same problems with slow loading, and sometimes could not even get on the forum. I got the message that the host had a bad connection several times.. I also cleaned up my browsing history on my computer like John mentioned, everything works fine again now. Keep up...

Brian, yesterday I got a Rangliste, dated 6 october 1913,but it is for staff only (stabsoffiziere). Very nice helmet!
If I see it right, the counter, or supportdisc was always there, meaning from the day it left the factory.
Because it has exactly the same colour as the helmet has.
