Re: Looking for a grey steel m15 artillery pickelhaube

The one that John has suggested on the earlier page wasn't bad.

https://www.treasure-hunt.nl/product/20 ... anschappen

Its a early model with threads and nuts system on the wappen and the rear spine is voided of the vent shutter.

Re: Looking for a grey steel m15 artillery pickelhaube

We are all out for bargains but there again, our hobby is a passion that no money can buy. I guess members on this forum all share the same thinking, if we see something that we really want, price doesn't become a barrier. It really depends on what is the condition that you are looking at and where ...

That was exactly my first reaction when I saw it at a dealers stand.

When I looked closer and had my hands on it, my feelings somehow changed.

I have yet to do an in depth research on it b but the few panels of cotton cloth have been given a coat of lacquer, sigh

Peter, that hessian helmet is actually quite an honest price. There's another one on the same website for 4000+

Hessian are really hard to come by and some pp moves the prongs on the hessian badge to fit on prussian body to dig the hole for collector to drop in. So buy from honest sources.

Amy, M15 Prussian Kurassier helmets were sometimes produced with blackened shells, therefore this combination was not impossible.
