Thanks James.
My references also show that and I have tried four prussian plates and none fit so will have to wait for more prussian plates to fix the helmet body
Thank you anyway

Need some help on this markings
It's a Wurttemberg ORS . No extra holes and loops on the wappen back have not been moved.
Rear visor stamped 98R 1912.

Hi guys,
Found 2 helmets in my Australian house. These 2 helmets have been sitting in my Aussie collection room for a while and I thought they should have square visors with the cruciform bases?
What do you guys think?

Re: Lobster tail, real or repro?
This is a fake here and there is nothing to discuss We usually refer to a fake as a copy. Here we rather have a mixture of parts put together and repainted, and some quite possibly original, like the shell. Therefore, there is plenty to discuss to help less informed collectors who, unfortunately, h...

Hi Steve
I have a spare one. However, I am in Australia now and the wappen is in Singapore. I will only be back in Singapore in mid Dec.
If till then you will have yet to find one, then you can consider mine. Otherwise, please look around.
I think mine may not have the screw posts at the back

Would you mind to shift your post to the Wanted section instead of For Sale section.
Also would be great if you could let us know, if you are looking for the artillery or the infantry version and your budget.

I would have thought that it would just be enough to sand down the leather body and do it back up again and not to turn brass to shiny chrome LOL

The nuts has different sizes and different thread sizes so it depends on what size u need. They are all in galvanised steel so they are all magnetic.
I spray paint them and use them to secure wappens, rear spine, some base etc.
