Helmet for a Wurtt. Officer of Feld Art. Reg.13

Hi All, A fairly recent acquisition which came as a complete set directly from Stuttgart. The body is made of vulkanfiber, hence the very well-preserved condition of the helmet. No sign of tweaking, modification or anything so I can confidently say that it is coming to me pretty much in the state it...

Hi Julien and welcome.

Like you, I collect items from Germany but also from France (I think I am one of the few here). My collection is restricted to headgear though, nothing else.

I look forward to seeing your collection.

Interesting. Like Steve, I do not collect for the money but I collect for the interest and the fun of hunting for that illusive piece missing in the collection. Even though making a profit is rarely a motive in our decisions to buy, we are yet very careful to spend our money wisely. The evidence of ...

Pickelhauben and Covid-19

Dear All I thought I would pick your brain and seek your opinion on the subject of how the current health crisis - which is likely to turn into a severe and long-term worldwide economic downturn - has or might affect the value of our collections. Fbc...A question concerning the interior pics of this unusual helmet: Is the interior lined in black felt? My Prussian tin version of this has a separate brown felt skull cap up in the crown of the shell as a bit of padding. It is not held in place by washers and spike brads as I think I see here. ...

Good question Steve. My response is twofold: - if the terms applied to the sale by the British seller are subject to English law then, regardless of where the sale took place, the buyer can rely on English law. Those terms would be the seller’s terms and conditions of sale. - if however, there was n...

Re: IR92

Regimentals should have a refund policy. If not, the Sales of Goods Act 1979 can help to the extent that, in English law, you can insist for a product to be correct to what it was sold as. If that fails, you still have a claim for misrepresentation under the Misrepresentation Act 1967 ! That can hel...
