Well, I tried fooling around with the photo, but I still can't make out what the arm band says. It has the crown and below that is an eagle and then there appears to be three lines of text, but I can't read them.

The Prussian rangliste doesn't normally have first names. He's not listed with that regiment in the 1914 Rangliste. I don't see anyone in the Rangliste named von Hohenberg, there's a couple of Hohenbergs, but not in that regiment.

Oh, and by the way, I saw a photo posted on another forum where you can clearly see the two breast stars he's wearing. One is for the Order of the Black Eagle, the other is for the Royal Hohenzollern House Order.

I thought Captain Dreyfus was Jewish? I seem to recall that part of the scandal was that he was singled out and persecuted because of his religion. The Order of St. John is a Christian order and would not have admitted a Jew, especially at that period in history.
