My French Officers Carbiner and Cuirassier pieces

Sorry they are not outside shots but these weigh a ton and are a pain to take outside. Ignore the olive webbing belt on the Cuirassier's cuirass. It's for additional support and I forgot to remove it for the foto. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v521/johnnym/June21b08002.jpg http://img.photobucket...

Thank you Tony and Bruno for the nice comments. Bruno, Your answer is 3 holes and round with square nuts. Looks like there was a spare hole under the emblem drilled for something at some point. The emblem does not look like it has come off in a while. John http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v521/john...

Hi Daniel! John from Queens, NY here! I really can't see the detail on the lace ribbon, however if I think my guess is correct it should be silver with blue highlights. That would mean that these epaulettes belong to a Major in the Bavarian 4th Infantry Regiment Konig Wilhelm von Wurttemberg. At $25...

All you need now is the matching railway gun and you are set!

I'm thinking that after the dreadnaught is finished you might have to build a scratchbuilt railway gun the size of the casing that can fit inside!

Thanks for sharing Tony!!

Robert,

Yes that uniform was the standard issue uniform for the U.S. Army from approximately 1912 to the 1920's.

It was worn by all US Army troops (and some US Marines) in WW1 along with the M1917 and M1918.
