Think about a good HEPA air purifier to remove some of the dust. I'm sure you could tuck it away somewhere and that will do a great job of controlling the dust.

My condolences Pete but at least you did not lose any of the collection...books will dry out. The main thing is that the collection was spared! Look on Hotels.com for room rates, but look SOON. There is the gun show, flea market and I believe other events going on as usual so rooms fill up fast and can get very expensive. Very nice example. I'm never against light cleaning. Dust and dirt from storage aren't really history. If it sat on your shelf you'd regularly dust it.

I had to mail the spikes for British Home Service helmets when flying home from SOS years ago. The American TSA said they could be a weapon. Of course my wife was allowed to bring knitting needles. Dumb rules are still rules unfortunately.
