Helmet with cover

This helmet came in last week but was too busy with work and had a play with it today. Two questions - one on the helmet cover. The helmet cover is reversible so which side should face outwards? The green or the white with unit mark? Second question - I have my doubts over the liner. The fingers hav...

I have come across many officer liners both original and reproduction. No matter how good or close the reproduction are, one can still identify them. I have few officer helmets missing the silk canvas or the sweatband, I rather leave them alone until I can find an original one (though it is tough as...

Hi Arran, Yes I do agree with you that officers helmets do make use of the enlisted body with the M91 side posts. The front and rear visors are original but not the stitching. The seller place the officer rosettes to cover the M91 side posts as the prongs of the rosettes were not even properly split...

Thank you for the photos. The front view of the Anhalt wappen looks good but the back, I have doubts. The wappen should be "very clean" if it has been covered by the starburst but there again, it may have left to be exposed to the dirt and dust over the years, the blackened stuff around the end of t...

:) Hi Steve, Thank you for your opinion. I will give that camo a miss. One sign I always look at is the condition of the interior vs the exterior.
