I like all tin helmets and spike helmets and steel helmets, my house is like a helmet graveyard when I start playing with them. The German workmanship always impress me.

Just got this tin helmet in and the markings on the front visor is hereby attacked. Seller reckons that its maker's marking. I reckon it is regimental marking but could not figure or decipher the whole thing. Any advice?

Received this helmet the other day. Set of holes in helmet doesn't fit prussian heraldic eagle, bavarian, wurttemberg, hessian, baden and saxon.

Inside helmet has this no.

Hi randolpho Most helmets were from the States. But they are drying up so now I buy them from all over the world and have my fair share of being cheated like seller never sent parcels or sent fakes and they r good. They refused PayPal and I lost money. So that I'd the learning fee that I got to pay....

This helmet has both markings JR 78 7C1 on both the interior and rear visor. The helmet cover has matching markings as JR 78 7C1.the helmet also has the name tag of the soldier inside. Hubby got the helmet cover 40 years ago and the helmet last month. Then yesterday we were cleaning out some helmets...

It's unusually to find that many berndorfers for sale and $1300 is a steal if real else it is junk

Ron the reinforcement plate does not extend all the way to the base. The arms only takes care of the front and back. I guess it is to let it stay in shape

No I don't have the GR 8 helmet. Will put on my want list to acquire that. Am happy with a GR 7 with the special rosettes. Have been collecting for 15 years and I only came across the GR7 recently.

I discovered something is wrong. The rosettes belong to Grenadier Regiment 7 which I too have received the helmet recently. I guess the same collector must have somehow moved parts around. So now Gren Regi 7 has the right rosettes while the Grenadier eagle officer will not have the special rosettes....
