Here gentlemen is the next project. Another prussian line officer I purchased online. Just needs a chinstrap and cockades. Wish me luck!

I really hate to tell you this --- but that's the wrong spike.

These are just the parts it came with in the lot. What would the proper spike be? Im more than willing to hear out constructive criticism for the sake of the piece and its history

It shouldn't have a fluted spike.

I will look into buying one! Maybe if you have a spare one it could be included in our pm discussion. I couldn't use that spike anyways as the screw is broken out of it

Here's a place that has a lot of that kind of stuff. Usually pretty reasonable.

The proper spike would be the common smooth cone Prussian officer one. The fluted/crimped top you have is for a Bavarian officer helmet. The Bavarian officer has a cruciform spike base while your shell is punched for the round base Prussian. Looks like you have all the parts except for an officer Reichs kokade and a set of chin scales. Regarding the spike you are better to buy a complete one..spike and base, as one top cone does not fit all spike necks. The threading and size of the top screw post varies so one size does not fit all. I have been doing restorations for decades and if you need help or have questions, feel free to contact me via PM.
