ive seen many Landwher Kavallerie Pickelhaube but unsure about the Guard pattern.

My good collector friend Mike Kelso not long ago
purchased a Saxon Landwehr officers Waffenrock
Maybe we can get him to post a photo ?
Also Mike lives in Ala
sometime when a few of us collectors get together
Mike will drive up and join us
so maybe if you can get over this way
we can have a mini collectors meeting
surely we can you reference on the helmet
to go with your display

Today I looked at a couple of my reference books
Here is what I read that Stubbs had to say on page 515
" Officers of the Garde Landwehr Cavalry wore helmet
like those of the 1 Garde Dragoons but with a Garde Landwehr plate "
To me this means a Garde eagle without the star
but in it's place is a silver burst with the Landwehr cross in the center
There is a drawing of this plate in DDH
He also wrote of Provincial Landwehr Cavalry
Prussian
" Officers wore Dragoon pattern helmet of gilt trim
with Dragoon pattern helmet plate with the Landwehr cross

Do you remember which was that Kube auction?
I save his auction catalogs from day 1
Top is D R 3 ( Grenadier Regt zu Peferde # 3 )
left bottom Garde Landwehr
right bottom Provincial Landwehr

I don't know, I found on line but when I clicked on it I could not find the auction. I do think the helmet I'm searching for looks like Philipe's but with the wappen Kaisersammler showed.

According the official rules it should look like the Kube-Helmet, with a silver star and a golden Landwehr cross (always changing silver and gold).

This is my Major of the Landwehr Kavallerie. Unfortunately no guard. I sold the guard helmet 1 year ago. I thought I'd never need him.
