Original Uniforms in Wear

Hello,

This section of our forum looks deserted. I think it's a good way to bring it back to life by sharing a few photos of our activities in the summer. Everything we wear is original unless specifically noted. Although strictly speaking what we did may not be considered a real and serious reenactment, but we did have fun.
Hope you guys like it!

Regards,
Jvpi

Leutnant of Reserve in the Feldartillerie-Regiment Oranien (1. Nassauisches) Nr. 27 and Oberleutnant of the Fußartillerie-Regiment von Hindersin (1. Pommersches) Nr. 2 on maneuvers.
To avoid potential damages, the adjutant’s sash was not put under the shoulder board.

Very cool, perhaps a battle scene? ;)
I hope someday! :whistle:However it require more equipment I currently don't have in my collection. Good for photos, but not for crawling up and down in the trenches lol.

Husar of the Leib-Garde-Husaren Regiment with the first class lance proficiency badge, circa 1910. The entire set belonged to one soldier, very unfortunate that only the busby is not preserved.
(Note: only the German items and the Ottoman belt buckle are original)

Again you seem to one up yourself! My one question, do you only collect uniforms in your size, or is it just luck of the draw?

Louis,

It is only luck that I or my friends can fit into these uniforms. Luckily we also have similar body types to people who lived in the 1910s. Usually it's impossible to know the measurements of a tunic before purchase, but I'm able to estimate the approximate size. For the headgear, sizes 56-57 are commonly seen in the market which will fit most people's heads. IMO a fitting pair of trousers are the hardest to find.

Amazing photos....these re enactments are held in China?? Re ...body types yes, only in Asia could we find people who could wear these uniforms. The vast majority of North Americans or Europeans could never wear these today. To my eyes, it is just stunning to see these actually being worn as they were during the 1890's. A huge thank you for posting these ! (y)
