I thought since I took a few pictures for a forum friend of one of my newer finds that I would share with you all as well.

Anyway, here are a few pictures of the model M15 for the 2. Hannoversches Dragoon Rgt Nr 16. that I found recently. The only thing I did was dust it off with a feather duster and put a different chinstrap on it because the other one was broken and falling apart. It has a little rust but I'm not going to mess with it at all, its staying just how I found it that's just my preference.

It's not unit marked but does have the manufactures stamp, size, and the depot stamp for the tenth which all add up. I have never seen one like it anywhere undocumented to me, but Steve probably has 3. ;) regards John Josef

A BIG THANKS for all to all the comments and likes its much appreciated. (y) (y)

You all can imagine my shock and excitement when I first saw it. The seller told me it was just an old leather WWI helmet, and when I saw the Wappen and shape of the front visor I had to try and keep my cool and not have a heart attack.

I thought for sure it was going to be just another Prussian M15. not that there is anything wrong with them but after finding more then 30 in the wild in my life it gives me hope to keep searching, believing, hoping and praying that one day I still will find a M15 for the 92nd. 🙏 (my dream piece) but until that day this one makes me more than happy and it may be even more rare.

To think I'm the first owner since the family is really exciting and I'm very thankful to have it in my collection.

I don't even remember the drive home I was so excited. :) mfg John Josef

Thanks Steve, I know I've seen many of your Dragoon Helmets here which I absolutely love but couldn't remember exactly which. Your comments backed by all your experience and the respect I have for you really add to my excitement for the helm. I'm sure it's not the only one in the world but it's the only one I've ever seen and that's really exciting for me. I've even went and looked through all my books and still haven't found one yet.

With the amount of hunting and digging I've done over the years I'm so happy to have found it. 👍👍
