One of my retirement projects was to catelogue what bits of my collection I have left.

I decided to do it in three ways:

1. Detailed list of helmet, date purchased and from whom. Plus price paid. For assistance to any beneficiaries 🫡 on a spreadsheet and hard copy. Linked to this a numbered index card system with a card in each helmet to avoid any confusion for the non expert as to which helmet is which.
2. A write up of each helmet in a journal for my own gratification ☺️ this is work in progress.
3. A photo catelogue of each piece which I also intend to share on the forum.

Here it comes.....

Happy collecting

Very beautiful, very much like the schirmmutze with Karpaten sign, has pink verstoss? What is it exactly?

Michiel, It's a Bavarian veterinarian officers cap. I can do some close ups if you like....
I added the karpathian corps insignia tbh. For effect.
It's also in my book ......

Very beautiful collection, and love the mutze, a kratchen or mutze with Karpaten insignia is on my wishlist ( along with a lot of other things….)

Excellent Tony!
I like your whole collection, really fabulous! Especially the IR162 items, as I have a M15 helmet here, marked IR162.
Then again, the whole collection is well worth documenting !

Thanks for showing your very nice collection Tony,
I am surprised that you keep some of your treasures in the same (dusty) Ikea cabinets as I do, my helmets are not nearly as nice (nor expensive) as yours 😀
Regards,
Lars
