Careful, looks to me as a modern copy. Are the leaves of the wreath painted or enamel?

The helmet body looks as if it has some funky repairs( bulge at the top of the back spine?) also a strange hole plug near the top of the crown?. With some of the other issues mentioned, You probably would not be happy in the long run. Worth maybe $800??

I was the second highest bidder, I believe it to be a 6K regiment. The owner was unable to give any more info on markings or a pic behind the frontplate. So to much of a risk. Could be a GDC? Looks as if was made into a lamp base at some piont. I have a guy who can take out the dents and...
