My cuirass features an inner lining on both sides bearing the same owner's name—meaning that he wore the cuirass with the shorter straps.

How did the cuirassiers wear the cuirass—with the shorter straps? I also have the same cuirass, and it, too, has the shorter straps.

May I ask one more question? Aren't the straps too short—or, as I understand it, do the two parts of the cuirass overlap, making the straps long enough?
