Hi; Just looking at a few of my cloth mutze & schirmmutze and I'm wondering when or if there was an approximate time that fat piping [approx. 4mm thick] on pre-war mutze and schrimmutze changed to thin piping style [approx.2.5mm thick]?? Anybody have an opinion? Cheers Dick

Larmo; Great information!I have a "type 5" Faschinenmesser. On mine the spine is date is a 12 with what looks like a "Gothic" W [it is unit marked to Wuttemberg Field Artillery]. Was this just restamped in 1912 ? Just looking for anymore history on these fine weapons/tools. Cheers Dick

great parade plumes and helmets! I have a question about horsehair plumes. The horsehair on my Bavarian Artillery helmet plume is very brittle and i'm wondering how, if possible, I can soften the aged horsehair so it will not break off everytime it is touched, would some sort of commercial hair...

Great purchase, love those shoulder stock-holster pistols. I'm still looking for a holster-stock for a Steyr Hahn. I only know of 3 in collections, I'm sure there are more! Thanks for sharing
