A fake without doubt. The markings for mecklemburg are either GR ou FR. It is a prussian helmet which was changed in a pseudo Mecklemburg. The cocade is modern.

yes some régiments used to have exclusive painted white marks like FR85 ou FR86 too

I can't see any marking. This helmet was greased. This action darkens the whole leather of the inside face.

The stamp I showed is from 1907, not 1914 (Kompanie stamp).

I do not like the marking. Here for comparaison the marking of my JR 88, too from the III/JR88. Sharply different, there are two independants markings for the unit and the Bataillon (and a faded date 1907, between the two).

A picture without the Plate would be interesting. I wonder that the spike and baseplate could be in iron, not in nickelsilver which should be for a pionnier

Hello I manage to find a very similar Uberzug. Most of the marks are the same. There is to a name, from the same Kompanie. For me, the GR 6 needs in 1911 some Uberzugs for some men of the 7/GR 6, probably volunteers (it could explain the name). They take Uberzug which were planned for the...
