Bernhard Stoewer was a First Lieutenant in the 13th Hussar Regiment based in Diedenhofen. He was seriously injured in 1914 and his bayonet was taken back to Australia by an Australian soldier. I now have this bayonet. It was personalised with the logo of the Stoewer brothers' car company...
