On August 23, 1887, the English Parliament passed the Merchandise Marks Act 1887. This stipulated that the country of origin must be clearly stated on goods. Imported goods became recognizable to everyone.

Very nice. The maker is Wilhelm Jaeger.

His fathers Grenadiermütze from 1869 is on storage in the Potsdammuseum.

Many of the items are from a reenactor who was also a collector. Unfortunately, he killed himself several years ago. The auction house added some descriptions yesterday. I hope to auction some of the uniforms from him. I knew him, the uniforms will fit me. The uniforms are all reproductions.

Wonderfull. This helmet, built in 1915, never had an eagle on top.

Yes, shape of the spike, green neckguard and the bulge on the backside. This bulge is on the 1867, but not at the 1889. I am a collector and reenactor. I know these helmets well.

Man kann das Regiment auch an den Schuppenketten erkennen. GdC und GKR hatten Ketten.

5 ist die Größe und WJ ist der Hersteller Wilhelm Jaeger aus Elberfeld. Die Rohlinge aus Gussstahl hat er von Krupp bezogen.
