    Garde M15? Tschako

I will post photos of the tschako & its markings. The star measures 9.5 cm from tip of ray to tip of ray, & the circular scroll 7cm in diameter from & to the outer edge. The tschako has metal ringed fixation holes, which the star fits perfectly - however there has at one time been a different...

    M15 steel helmet Wappen

Thanks , is this quote referring to the thread inclusive of the star that I've posted, or to earlier star discussion only please? Is it likely / possible that "my" star is merely a manufacturers variation?

    M15 steel helmet Wappen

Thanks, here's a link to the posting that I'd already posted on: http://www.pickelhaubes.com/bb/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=5838" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; It has examples of variations I was aware of from reading / seeing illustrations in the past - the variation in location of...

I posted this a few days ago on a thread re a 1915 pattern Garde tschako, interest shown but no views expressed as yet It appears to be a steel wappen so I'll try posting here: Does anyone have any views on this badge please? Garde M15? Tschako

Have the photos worked ok? New computer, first attempts at posting photos on this forum, they appear as thumbnails that expand when double clicked? (I haven't worked out why I'm posting so many typos - I'll blame the new keyboard). The badge is magnetic, most of the grey paint now worn off.

A view of the rear of the badge and a another of the front. The badge appears to have the remains of grey paint on the white metal.

Sorry, not to hand, I'll take some. It's a one piece badge with west / east wire loop fittings, leather wedges.

Lippe Helmet - Something you do not have.-Flügel Adjutant

One of these sold back in the 1980's - early 90's I think at Wallis & Wallis (possibly Kent Sales). It was a bargain at whatever price it went for, I just remember that more common stuff went for a lot more and this was very much overlooked. I can't remember what it sold for but I couldn't...
