The bent wire chinstraps and the large silver discs and centre nuts are a pretty fine set which belong to the the first pattern 1830s Belgian cuirassier helmet.

This is a 100% Original Garde guirassier set. Probably not in need of much restoration to bring it back to it's former glory. I expected it to fetch quite a bit more!

Somebody's going to be out of pocket. These helmets were originally spun and marks show clearly inside them. No such marks can be seen here. It would be interesting to see under the liner, Not that seeing that would make it original.

This chap is probably a dealer who know a little about everything. He is certainly a fantasist, if you look at his other headdress and their descriptions. This one,,, well you surely will be one too if you believe this descripton and picture to be correct!

Scarce helmet,, not a helmet that any collector would like to part with. It would have been nice to se a close shot of the centre and the rear of the eagle.
