Actually the eagle has not been repainted. I have seen MANY helmets made specifically by CE Juncker where the eagle is painted silver. As matter of fact my m15 Jpf helmet is also made by CE Juncker and the eagle is silver...

To bad it did have the eagle wappen, then it would be a perfect project helmet!

I noticed this one on Ebay....the finish is absolutely perfect! You don't often see them this nice, usually they have some rust spots. The only issue is the spike and kockades, other than that it a beauty...
