    Cool. Mine is also spun, but it is a removable type. It is pretty much identical to the steel version, but it is obviously super light and does not rust. Although there was some small amount of aluminum oxidation on one of the split pins.

    Not to bad. Can anyone tell me if it’s unusual that the spike and base are aluminum and the eagle and rear spine are steel. Also, would the chin strap have aluminum or steel fittings?

    Thank you. Biggest problems are, it’s shrinking caused the areas around the chin strap attachment points to cave in. I’ve put in in warm water briefly and put it on a form to reshape it. The rear visor is missing, I have found one that seems to be the right size but obviously the holes are not...
