It is still in it’s original box , but the box has no more cover at the ends. The bush is in great condition, didn’t lose any of its buffalo hair.

Maybe the second auction got inspired by the first one. The Prussian type Hessen M15 (round base) was originally equipped with a smooth spike , but this spike remains a rare bird , so well done. (y)

Thank you for the nice reactions dear friends. Yes Frank, looks like the budget for defense was not that great in those days , judging by the way they repaired his pants. Here’s an other picture where it seems like you either had a Hessen Helmet or a Hessen buckle.
