Baden with box

It looks perfectly okay by me. But I would ask the seller to send some pictures of the liner.
All in all, this one is okay. A nice helmet.

I agree and IF you were to try and buy it , the only way that I would do that deal is to pay via Pay -Pal .
That way you are protected .
Steve

It's still showing as there with "buy it now." I wonder how many times he will sell the same helmet?

The helmet looks perfectly fine to me, 100%, but BE CAREFUL on the sellers "buy it now" ploy. I had a similar occurrence from a seller in Ireland. I had already paid but he couldn't send the helmet. Fortunately the seller was honest, told me about the problem, and refunded my money 100%, including postage. It could have easily gone the other way.

Thanks for your input. It’s truly a pity about the helmet with the box but the seller isn’t replying to my messages. I believe it’s scam.

Be very careful with this. If it looks not okay, it probably isn't. The helmet looks okay to me, but with things like you mention, watch your back.
And, like Steve mentioned use Pay-pal. That way, you can alway's get your money back.

I had asked questions like any extra holes and pictures of liner as I can't see the pictures. Seller did not bother to reply so I decided not to bid. I have had my fair share of scams so it's better to miss a deal than to end up with a bad deal. Beware!!

I had to do that with somebody who bid from China. First, the auction stated, "USA ONLY", THEN ebay wanted ME to pay postage. I refunded, offered it to the next highest bidder then when he didn't answer, I re-listed and it sold for more than the original auction. Ebay can be a real pain in the ass for buyers and sellers alike.

A non-commissioned officer helmet. Baden Train regiment. Authentic but two screws are missing from the spike basis. Condition is mediocre. For your first one you can find much, much better than that. Be selective.

LW , there are never any “stamps “ on Officer or private purchase helmets. Helmets issued by the Army Administration were often regimentally stamped when they were received by the regiment and taken into stores. Issued items are government property so they have to be stamped/ marked and tracked. This Baden helmet is a private purchase piece because it has an officer style silk liner in it. Occasionally, an officer would write their name, usually in pencil up in the shell. On more expensive Officer helmets, the manufacturer would sometimes emboss their company name on the sweatband.
