All-metal Tschapkas have been produced but the shape was different, and these did not have the flat rim you see here along the shell and visor, which is characteristic of these fakes. The real ones also had a hook (Haken) on the mortarboard to affix the Fangschnurr, like leather Tschapkas. As you mentioned, the liner is also wrong; in addition, the authentic tin Tschapkas have a felt or thin leather lining between the liner and metal shell, similar to tin Kurassier helmets.

I bought one of these bad UK made ones back when I was getting started many years ago, thanks to fellow members on this forum, I was able to learn and return the bad item.
