Train Battalion 7 trumpeter

Nice photo !
Thanks
Feldgrau uniforms
but he still wears the white belts
It would be neat to see his Feldgrau swallow nests in person

Thanks for showing.
I would expect Train to be wearing a Tschako rather than a Pickelhaube; maybe a war-time expedient, or a different unit?

Lars, from 1903, all Prussian Train detachments adopted the spike helmet, which was already worn by Train officers before that date.

Very nice!
Since we jumped on the train, and to celebrate the new higher tolerance on picture size (thank you, Joel and Brian), here is a helmet that belonged to an OYV in Garde Train battalion. Gilt on the eagle is intact and beautiful. The heavy chinscales have left deep marks in the visor. There is no doubt that everything is fully original on this helmet.

Very nice Bruno. I have one with very similar markings, but a scruffier version!
