Two M15 Artillery helmets on a sunny Afternoon.

Wow, nice foto Steve! Love those kind of pictures. Eyes seems a bit modified:giggle:.
Thank you.

Bregards,

I noticed that the construction of the two helmets is different. The Prussian appears to be a fiber body, the height of the ball is greater and the reinforcing disc on the inside more than just a flat piece. The Württemberg appears have a leather body, short ball, and flat disc.

That is a great photo Steve.

Interesting, the kugel fittings are certainly of different design. I have a brass kugel in my collection with similar short profile. The one support disc with larger hole is something I have never seen before 😳 but there are always surprises in this hobby. Obviously, the usual disc is seen on the right. No surprise, there are more disc variations found on private purchase helmets. Some are aluminum, some larger/smaller and some with “V” cut outs for the spine screw post. Others have no support disc, just tin washers under the square nuts.
