Here is my new Prize piece, that I am lucky and blessed to have (as a beginner)
Prussian Garde Pioneer, Silver Plated, with the Removable spike. Hope you all like it. 😁
This is officially the second Spiked Helmet in my collection, and I am extremely happy to have it.

Congratulations on your second helmet. Are there any inked markings on the underside of the rear visor? If so, these would confirm exactly what this helmet is.

I would have to see it in person and I'm more than happy to be wrong but on first impression it looks like the Eagle, visor trim ect have been painted. I think I see some paint chipping.

It's very hard to tell from photo's I hope I'm wrong, but the color doesn't look right maybe the lighting. regards John Josef

The lighting was really bad where I was, as I of course do not have a proper place for photographs. and the camera I used was pretty awful, I too hope that you are wrong, thanks for the comment.

I looked for one, however there are unfortunately no inner markings, at least that I can make out with my eyes.

Congratulations, looks like a nice helmet. Could you please post photos of the backside of the eagle? I‘d like to see the pressing from behind.
Thank you in advance 🙏
I hope that the photo I have supplied of the rear of the wappen is good enough, if there is any part of it you would like to see in better detail, please let me know.

Eagle is ok but the garde star looks more like brass than silver, or is it silver that has turned colour
I noticed this as well when I bought it, it is a combination of discolouration and terrible lighting for the photograph, however I am quite sure that it is silver, thank you for the assurance.

Very nice helmet. I have had a few Garde Adler where the Garde star seem to be brass. Possibly a slightly lower amount of tin in the mix? Inside it looks brass, outside like Neusilber. So yes you could replace it, but it could be the original that has aged and the brass is predominant? I let mine be.

Your Adler is just as it should be on the reverse. Notice the big D rings holding on the star. That is the correct attachment method for Garde stars that don’t have screw posts.
