Battle damaged Württemberg Haube

I gave it some thought and decided that I will let this helmet go.
It's a battle damaged Württemberg helmet with nice markings:

Regiment 122
1 Batallion
2 Companie
1901
Unknown marking

Maker stamped as well on other side of rear visor but I can only read "dorf".

Notice the damaged antlers on the wappen and the fact the letter has become very dry during the years.

I bought this directly from the relatives in Heilbronn. Philippe looked into the Kriegsstammrolle to try to find more about the previous owner. See link.

Not in superb condition but it's a Württemberger and you don't find personalised/nicely marked battle damaged helmets that often.

Let's try 925 euro.

Hi,

In the helmet itself is no name visible.
I requested more info after i bought the helmet. Since the seller had no incentive to make up something since the item was already sold, I see no reason to distrust it.
He asked older relatives who claimed it belonged to soldier Eugen Wertsch from around Heilbronn. He was wounded but survived and died at old age in the 1970's.
There's no other written proof except for this family anekdote, so I leave it up to anybody to make up his or her mind about it. :)

I am not an expert but is there no entrance or exit in case of war damage from a bullet or grenade?

I am happy to write that the helmet arrived at my house today! I am happy it is now with it's M15 brother, of which I have the full history, as written and posted by @argonne , Phillipe. I also have printed out everything Phillipe had found out about this helmet, just as he did with the M15 Wurtt.
It has found a new home, in my collection.
Now I do need to reorganize my collection, but that's something I really like to do. Thinking of putting the M95's, and M15's next to each other, so from every state an M95 and his M15 brother next to eachother.
A nice thing to do, is my plan for this evening.

Thank again @Grabenmaxx , for this helmet with a history!👍

Regards, Coert. :)

Great addition Coert!

Thanks Francis! I just finished reorganizing the collection, it's too late (and dark) to post pictures of it, but I will do so tomorrow.
I gave the helmet a very gentle clean up, a former owner was apparently a smoker, so it had some residue of that on it. (nicotine stain)
Those are gone now, it has all the normal signs of an old age on it. And it's very well marked too!
