Hat stands and heads(glass or ceramics) or head forms (generally wood).
They all have, both; negative and positive ways of using them. Therefore I allways try to have enough.

The hat stands are esay to diy, I never did but intend to so asap.
I did however allready made woden head forms. Not in solid wood, but in MDF.
Just not sure if MDF is suitable to use on old headgear.... But i didn't had any problems up to today....

-Half an inch thick padding from a long folded strap of unbleached cotton.
No direct contact with the inner surface or liner.
-I use beer glasses for Belgian beers.
So I have to use that good padding in order not to cut the headgear. The glass is neutral but the edges are sharp.
Elegant and transparent.

Great, I've been looking for this for a while, unfortunately it's very difficult to find, I think I'll have to be patient

Very nice! I like the 2nd lancers!

That’s mine and I got somewhere a Trappist beer glass, too. 😀

Best wishes,

When I was teaching mud (ceramics), I had a plaster mold that I could press, or pour, clay or slip into. I created a nice 'top of the head' in thin clay. Then, it could be glazed to create a 'glass' surface. I've used all I made, but wish I'd have made more!
