Brotherhood the cloth covered Ersatz helmets

One just arrived today and went to check thinking that I have 2 others, turned out I have 4 others.

Not all have a rear spine.

Some have ersatz chinstrap while some have leather ones.

The cloth covering the helmet is either a whole piece or divided into 3 or 4 segments.

Nice to have them side by side for comparison purposes. 20260424_153613.jpg20260424_153638.jpg20260424_153703.jpg20260424_153729.jpg20260424_153739.jpg20260424_153759.jpg

Something like that is still on my wish list too, but patience is a virtue, as they say here.

Very nice collection of mummyhelme, Amy! I have some without trim on the front visor either. There is so much variance in liners too, some are oil cloth and thick rough leather. It looks like your collection is very representative. And they aren't squished...

My favorite helmet in my collection is the cork I have as my profile photo.

Thank you for sharing!

Gabe

Amy You're probably the only person in the world that can say that.:ROFLMAO:

I'm always amazed at seeing your collection that has only gotten BIGGER and BETTER over the years. (y)

It really is incredible, I think every collector would be very happy to have the helmets you don't even remember that you have.

I know I would ;)(y)

It’s also very interesting to note the segmented cloth one has a very similar ersatz chinstrap compared to mine.

It's mind boggling that you can forget you have double the amount of helmets than you thought you had.

Amazing helmets anyway.
It would make an amazing museum I'm sure.

It sure would, better than stored in a lock-up storage somewhere...

Oh, but having a lot of helmets isn't a problem, really. I have enough room here to put them, just meant as a joke.

I"m quite sure you do not have enough room for over 90 helmets, and neither have I.

Heeey, coert you're wrong about that. I have a whole attic where my WWII collection used to be; I could fit 1,000 in there if I had to.

is only a small part of the collection from back then

Wow, thats indeed a nice collection, but also a lot of space! At the moment I have 20 pickelhaubes, 10 Adrian helmets, an m1917 english helmet, M16 german, and a Dutch M33 helmet, but all in my livingroom. And space left too.
