Yes I love ersatz pichelhaube.

I'm sorry but I just can't make that statement from the single picture posted, IMO nothing is obvious.

If someone had pictures of the inside of the Helmet showing the created holes for the wire and the broken loops on the Wappen I'd say it's, one of many possibilities to explain the wire attachment.

We really have to be honest anyone could have taken a Saxon Wappen and attached it with wire over the past 110 years for many different reasons.

I'll admit I've seen way too many "collectors" and "dealers" creating items to take things at face value without doing a little detective work. ;)
Sorry but I disagree with you.
You are wrong about the wire attachment of the wappen.
I do not know of any pickelhaube model that originally came out with the wappen held by the wire wrapped around it.
There are adlers fixed with pen-headed through screws.
There are attachments of the most various types to fix the wappen, but a rough twist of wire is a trivial repair for me and not even a field one.
However if you have supporting elements or photos of any original helmet that was produced with the wappen fixed with wire, this might lead me to change my knowledge about it.
Zeb.

What are you talking about ???

I think you need to read my post again.

I NEVER said that any Wappen were originally attached by wire nor would I.

In fact, I said that anyone could have done it over the last 110 years.

If that wasn't clear enough, I even said that I believe it was done by a collector or dealer.

I'm guessing it your translator as they say lost in translation.

Yes, it is obviously a misunderstanding.
I never intended to make you angry, I apologize if it happened inadvertently but I do not think it is necessary to continue discussing this topic.

No problem my friend. I just couldn't click a like (y) on being told I'm wrong about the wire attachment and that you disagree with me.

I'm sure we both agree no Wappen was ever attached like the one you posted a picture of, somehow it just got lost in translation.

Everything is OK, thank you.

Wow. I saw that one on Helmut weitzer. Probably won’t see another one like that for sale for a long time
I think this will be the first and last one I see on fto and offered, unfortunately beautiful rpisj and has already been sold, beautiful piece for any collection

Hallo, hier is er nog een van mij, en ik denk dat de Concordes oude exemplaren zijn, hoewel ik nog steeds mijn twijfels heb. Ook mooi gestempeld.
