I’m thrilled with this porcelain head I found on Ebay for not much money. I think it’s perfect for displaying a pickelhaube! Please disregard the pieced-together one in the photos - I’m searching for a worthier example.

Looks good! Put your tongue on it. If it feels like glass, then the clay is vitrified and good. If your tongue 'sticks' to it, it is still porous and might leech moisture out of the liner.
