Howdy all, I hope everyone is well!

Well, my long search for this medal has finally come to an end. For last few years I’ve been scouring the web for this specific medal, the boxer rebellion medal. This award is my favorite imperial German medal, everything from the design, the history and especially that ribbon.

I can finally say I have acquired one, and in the best way possible! She’s mounted on a medal bar which really brings it together perfectly!

As an avid medal bar lover and collector it made my day when my buddy sold this to me. She now sits in my case alongside my others bars, truly couldn’t be happier!

It’s not a huge bar, just a modest four piece. Iron cross, China medal, honor cross and twenty five year service medal.

Really happy to share with you all! So happy the hunt is complete!

Lovely medal. I am obsessed with the history surrounding the Boxer Rebellion, and I would say it is probably my favorite historical conflict to learn about. These medals are a fantastic design, and I have always thought that the imagery of the Eagle tearing down the Dragon is an extremely impactful design.

Congratulations on your latest pick up I'm not really a medals collector but I have picked up many over the years. I really liked this one I added years ago because of it having both the Asian and African medals on the same bar and thought at some point I'd try to find out who wore it.

Please excuse the quality of the pictures I had dug them out for something totally unrelated and snapped a few quick pictures sometime back. I just thought I would share a few since you're getting into it. MFG John Josef

What beautiful bars, Mr. Josef! That boxer/africa bar is magnificent! I’d kill for that one! Truly a special bar you have there! I hope this dosen’t come off as rude but If ever you wanna let it go please let me know! Or any of them for that matter.

It’s one of my favorite times in history to read about and study, such an interesting circumstance where all those nations fought together for one single cause. Such a different time and amazing bit of history.

Dane, I don't find it rude at all as collectors if we don't ask, we never know. You have to take a shot, and you will be the first to know should I want to move some on. This is only the tip of the iceberg. ;)(y)
