I love the M87s, they are so rare! In France, they are shunned, like the M71s, because they did not participate in either the Franco-Prussian War or the Great War.
The genuine M87 should have a tip chimney without a Perlring, a rear spine without a ventilation flap, an absent metal visor rim, hooked side posts, and a chinstrap with an anchor ring. It's clear that quite a few helmets have been recycled.
