Wappen collection display ideas

Greetings, I am looking at how members store their wappen/helmet plates? I would love to mount in a frame if possible. Mainly, I am here to be inspired by how other members display their wappen/helmet plates. Currently, this is how I am displaying them...

Tony has by far the best thing I’ve ever seen for displaying wappen’s. Pull out drawers which are essentially giant trays.

I either put a strong thread across the posts or loops on the back and hang them on a small screw or put them on little stands like you do.

If you want to frame them I would suggest a shadow box so you do not have to flatten them and then do something with the strong thread and pins (if the shadow box back has material, which a lot do).

That little pickelhaube in the photo is also nice; I've been looking for one of those for quite some time too.

I believe a grouping with 3 of these small Pickelhauben were sold at the auction in Waver last month. The price didn't went that high either if I recall correctly.

I copied Tony’s display method. The drawers are lined in black cloth which provides an excellent contrast to the wappen.

The photos are from a few years ago, there are quite a few more jammed in there now. This works fine if you have many (too many in my case..) and they can lay flat. Using the same automotive upholstery material, many years ago I displayed some vertically using sewing pins.
