Has received this helmet. Help to identify this frontal plate on four screws. Very much, very strange helmet! There was no restoration. The original all of 100 % Stamp inside-- r-ungern

Bavarian pickelhaube???
May be it`s Bavaraian helmet M/1878 for schwerer Reiter (heavy cavallrie). But on front there must be a "L" (for King Ludweig an a Crown) :?- r-ungern
