For me it's look original, and not restored. I particulary like the guard star wich have "turned" to the right with time. It very common on good guard officers helmets. Beautifull helmet, really impressive. I love it. 8-)

Me too, that's why I ALWAYS looking for regimental marking on haubes especialy on guard helmets. You're right Ron, it's very good looking helmet. The plate looks good, but the splits indicate to me a very good repro. Take care gentlemen, the bad guys improve their weapons... :-x

I really don't like the bayonet-style lug of the spike base. It's not an EM/NCO style and not an officer style either, so what is it ?. Is it a particular "officer style" helmet for rich NCO ?. I don't like the reversed cockades too... :?
