    MAX All the issues you mentioned where alredy identified in the discussion forum helmet is most probably a restored helmet, visor has been repainted (but still original) liner is a replacement ..period done??I dont think so but the way is stitched is really professional. leather is pigskin...

    What parts do you consider as Fake?? The helmet has been discussed al ready and so far every single person has a different opinion..some says is genuine, some other say that the visor has been painted, some others say the chinstrap are fake another says no.....all I can tell you with my limited...

    I tried but still illegible the only way would be removing the paint or dirt with some kind of primer but as you know that would destroy part of its value,,,

    Yes is a painted brass spike, that was already discussed at the beginning of the thread..since the helmet is stamped 1914 I wonder if the spike was used from leftovers from the previous models??

    here goes another picture still very difficult to read, there is also some letter on the rear leather visor but also very faint.

    HI Guys, these are the markings inside the m15 they are very faint, I plyed a bit with the colours trying to read the manufacturers code...no Luck all I see is Berlin??? its dated 1914.

    THE M15 HAS A 1914 STAMP RIGHT NEXT TO THE MANUFACTURER NAME...ANY INFO ON AUTHENTICITY IS WELCOME..
