It’s steel but still rare!

I’ve been meaning to post this for a while now. It’s a k&m68 shell I found last year and have only been able to find pics of one other that was posted on this forum a while back. I found it on eBay, the seller didn’t research the size or maker, or list it in the ad. Hopefully this may help...

    Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach

Thank you all for the helpful responses! I'm glad I bought it now despite its rough condition. It was here in Florida, and was listed for sale as being Saxon. I guess they were kind of close, but I knew the colors would've been white and green if that were the case. Thanks again!

    Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach

Hello everyone, I was hoping to learn something about a feldmutze I recently bought. The state colors being green gold and black, I understand it to be from Saxe-weimar-Eisenach. I was wondering what regiment(or regiments) would this hat be associated with? I thought maybe I could be on the...

Is this wound badge real or fake?

I went hunting around antique shops today and bought these three items, however the wound badge just looks too clean to be original right? The material it is constructed of is NOT magnetic, but I don't know if that is good or bad! Your help would be greatly appreciated Thanks!

    Finally got a pickelhaube

I got some replica cockades and chinstrap to finish it! I see what y'all mean when you say this hobby is addicting because I can't help but think I should get another m15 from a state besides Prussia to add to the collection! Perhaps a Baden or maybe a Bavarian helmet? I also think I might like...

    Finally got a pickelhaube

I'm glad to hear it isn't blood. I'd hate to think some poor guy died under this helmet. Sure wish I could find some markings on it though, can't help but wonder where it's been over the past 100 years. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

Thank you for the welcome, here's the photos so tell me what you think! The helmet seems quite small is that normal? I don't have an original chinstrap or cockades unfortunately. Any thoughts on...

    Finally got a pickelhaube

I'm new to this fascinating hobby and have just purchased an incredibly basic m15 prussian helmet! It doesn't seem to have any markings, however the rear visor is slightly damaged and stained dark in color so I couldn't tell if it is marked or not. I've heard that this may be dried blood, any...
